My psychiatrist recently diagnosed me with bipolar disorder. It’s hard for me to accept this because I’ve never in my life had any episodes or mania or depression. For me it’s mostly extreme anxiety and depersonalization. After being diagnosed it’s almost traumatizing. My symptoms include. Lack of sleep, racing or uncontrollable thoughts, and depersonalization. I don’t have suicidal ideation or hallucinations(auditory or visual). Just all around scared.

Consult another psychiatrist and go for therapy to a good therapist. By the sound of it, it could be misdiagnosed. Also please don't read too much into any diagnosis presented to you. A good therapist would suggest you to consult a doctor if he/she feels medication is required. Also, try to do some really physically draining exercises or hobbies, do yoga meditation as well. These would help you for sometime get some sleep and control your thoughts. Please try to find some good psychotherapist or counseling psychologist or a clinical psychologist in your city. All the best!
