I was prescribed mirtaz 7.5mg for postpatrum depression and i am taking it for past 4 months and i have lots of weight gain and decided to stop mirtaz after speaking with my dr.she asked me to take alternate days and then stop it can i do like these please help will it cause any issues stoping it

If you feel Mirtazapine is causing weight gain it would be better to consult and change to an antidepressant that is weight neutral.For a woman's body to be back to it's previous self it takes almost two years.It is not advisable to discontinue medication when you are going through stressful period.
