Mild Pelvis Dilation 3.5 MM
Hi Sir, our new born who is 22 days old has mild pelvis dilation of 3.5 mm (USG taken when he was 3 days old). He is also having an ear tag on the left ear, however doctors confirmed that it's a cosmetic and can be removed later if needed I just want to understand if this Mild Pelvis Dilation requires any treatment ? Will it automatically gets correct? I understand that it put pressure on Kidneys but is it really something that we need to worry about? Do we need to take one more ultrasound? If so at what age?

Hello dear U need to relax because the pelvic dilation is likely to be normal and physiological. Just repeat a USG at 4-6 weeks ( according to iap guidelines) and that would clarify things for future course.. ensure hygiene of private parts of ur child ( use mild soap and water after urination n defecation, frequent change of nappies immediately after they get soiled)
Next Steps
Just repeat a USG at 4-6 weeks - that would be more definitive for future course of action.
Health Tips
unnecessary worry causes lot of stress... so relax :-)
