Asked for Female, 26 Years

I am a 26 years female experiencing mild haifall from 1 month (oiling and shampooing increasing the hairfall moderately). Can I use Minoxidil 2% topical solution to stop hairfall? (I used Minoxidil and finasteride combination solution before 2 years for 2 months as prescribed by Doctor). Can I use Minoxidil 2% now to treat hairfall. Does stopping Minoxidil cause hairfall again? (I believe that I don't have pattern baldness). Is it safe to use for general hairfall?

Donit use anything without a diagnosis. There are many reasons for hair fall or thinning of hair on scalp. So first and foremost we have to find the cause with the help of detailed history and examination. Some of the common causes are nutritional deficiency, hormonal causes like androgenic alopecia or patterned baldness, hypothyroidism, telogen effluvium etc. Unless we find and treat the cause there is no point in giving non specific treatment. Oils or shampoos do not have any effect on hair growth as they are not absorbed in the skin. Moreover, you should never self treat with anything.
