Methergine or Dnc. Please advice.

Hi I have taken medical abortion 10 days ago(7 months 2-day pregnancy ) with a combination of misoprostol and mifepristone, and gone for the ultrasound and found that pregnancy was not successful abort, after that, I consult to my gyny, she suggests me two options, methergine for 5 days or dnc 1. there is some infection, also a smell inside. 2. this is my first pregnancy. I am really confused to go for DNC or methergine( 3* 5day ) Is methergine is a more painful process as compare misoprostol. Is dnc have pain and risk and future consequences as medical is a natural process. I am preparing for higher studies, I have some exam next month. This going for the first time I really need help and proper decision. Is still there any chance of failure of methergine. Please advice.
