I am 39 years old. I am a housewife. I am feeling very low all the time. I can't concentrate on any work. I can't take care of my family and myself also. If i am among people and talking with them then only i feel better. If i am alone then i feel very low and can't do any work. For small issues also i am over thinking and feeling stressed. Sometimes I feel anxious. I am mentally totally disturbed. I have no peace. What i have to do? Four years back my thyroid gland was removed because of thyroid cancer. Now i am taking electroxin tablet daily. Lack of thyroid gland is a reason for my dullness? Please answer my qusetion. Thanks in advance. 🙏

Hi.. according to your information, you are feeling low and dull for some time... it can be because you are thinking too much about small issues.. try ignoring small acts that disturb you and do meditation in a quiet atmosphere. Try going for an outing with family as it will boost your mood up.

Hi
You have been feeling anxious and low lately. You are taking eltroxin tablet, for how long have you been taking this tablet? Consult a psychologist and talk about how you are feeling. With a psychologist you can talk about your lifestyle, eating habit, sleep pattern, and relationship with family. You had a surgery done four years ago. You are wondering if lack of thyroid gland is reason for dullness and you also have bloating since past two months. I suggest you consult a doctor and explain about bloating and dull feeling. Consult a psychologist and talk about how you are feeling. It is important to remember that you can feel good and enjoy good quality of life.
Next Steps
Consult a doctor and psychologist.
Health Tips
Contact me for counselling sessions. Along with counselling I can suggest natural foods to calm the mind.
Hypothyroidism is often the cause for your current situation. I would suggest you to consult an endocrinologist doctor at the earliest, even though you are on medication for hypothyroidism. It is possible that thyroxin (from the Eltroxin tablet) is not getting absorbed properly or your current dose is insufficient. If you do not feel better even after the consultation and probable intervention by the doctor, you need to consult a psychologist.
Next Steps
Please consult an endocrinologist and after that, if necessary, consult a psychologist.
Hi.. Thyroidectomy may potentially cause such symptoms within 1 year post surgery. But after 4 years I am not really sure. It will be best for you to consult your surgeon/doctor who performed this surgery on you. If it is not caused by any hormonal issues or thyroidectomy, than it can be attributed to psychological factors. In that case, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) along with Medications (prescribed by a Psychiatrist if required) will work best.
Next Steps
Consult your Surgeon/doctor who performed Thyroidectomy 4 years back to discuss your presenting issues.
Consult a Psychologist later for Counselling.
CBT along with Lifestyle Changes and Interpersonal Guidance and Counselling is required.
Yes it can happen hormonal disturbance.try meditation, deep breathing and physical exercise for fast recovery.connect with endroconlogist and psychiatrist as well for further discussion
