Hello I am a first year architecture student, I used to be a top student in my school , I always manage to get into first 3 ranks but everything changed in a single night when I was in 11th grade, I became incredibly slow and my memory became dull. Since then I been struggling for 2 years Now I can't even get myself sit to study even if I do I get incredibly anxious, I failed all my first sem and now I am a complete loser, what do you think is the reason I ended up here?

Hi there, A detailed medical and psychiatric history is always needed for every patient to make a diagnosis and management of the disorder accordingly. Was there any stressful event before what you have described? Generally such type of disorder doesn’t happen in psychiatric disorders without any stressful event. These may be physical, sexual or other which people don’t describe. Some of the medical illnesses may cause similar kind of presentation but other symptoms generally are accompanied with the main complaint.
