Yes. Untreated hypothyroidism can cause additional problems for women after marriage to/when they, get pregnant.
The treatment is almost always life long.
Do the following
1. Start Thyronorm 25mcg once a day and the dose can be adjusted by your local doctor if needed
2. Blood test- TPO antibodies
3. After 4 weeks of Thyronorm, get Blood test for TSH.
