Hi amitop is secreted in small amounts in breast milk. amitriptyline 25 mg is a small dose: however it can cause sedation in young babies. We prefer to prescribe some other antidepressants which are safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Please consult a Psychiatrist

do not stop amitop abruptly. I see that the baby is 6 and 1/2 months old. hence weaning may be an option
