Male pattern baldness

Asked for Male, 18 Years

I am diagnosed with male pattern baldness by a dermatologist. He recommended prp treatment of 8 sittings. I had already completed 2 sittings. He also gave me biotin supplements.I know that most doctors prescribe minoxidil and finesteride for MPB but my doctor havent prescribed yet. Is there any reason for this? Is there any age limit to use those medications?
