I have been experiencing muscle stiffness/tightness, especially around the neck and shoulder. I recently started taking magnesium glycinate. How long does it usually take to show noticeable improvement in muscle stiffness? Also, for how many weeks or months is it generally safe or recommended to continue magnesium glycinate supplementation? Both vitamin B12 and vitamin D levels are fine. Magnesium serum was also normal but still started supplementation for better recovery.

No need to worry magnesium glycinate is a good choice for muscle stiffness 👍
Improvement usually starts in 2 weeks, and it’s generally safe for 8 weeks or longer with normal labs. We can fine tune the dose and duration for your neck & shoulder.

Magnesium glycinate may help muscle tightness, but if it is going to be beneficial, improvement is usually noticed within 2–4 weeks of regular use. It is generally safe to continue for a few months in healthy adults when taken at recommended doses.
Since your vitamin B12, vitamin D, and serum magnesium levels are normal, persistent neck and shoulder stiffness may also be related to posture, muscle strain, stress, or other musculoskeletal causes.
