I have a lump in my left armpit since 2 days. Its not growing but it now appears little pinkish or reddish. When viewed in mirror its not visible, but when i touch it i feel the lump and pain. When moving my arm i fill the itchiness. Also 3 days back I had my right ankle twisted and i am on bed rest and medication for that ankle twist and still swelling is there. So is there any connection between these two issues. Which type of doctor should i consult for armpit lump issue or self medication is enough. Also when I am in AC room, i feel relaxed but when i move out, itchiness starts.

Swelling over the underarm area with two days of history: first thing that comes in mind is lymphadenopathy. Could be because of local infection around the arms or sore throat . Body has the capacity to mount an immune response against an external agent! Ankle swelling may not have connection with the sweeping around the armpit! Do see a dermatologist for sound advice
