Low platelets
Hi this is regarding query for my mother who is 65 years old. Her platelets are decreasing and it is 46000 currently. No other symptoms as such. She has been checked for vit b12, urine culture, hepatitis b and c test which is normal. I am attaching complete blood count report please have a look. My concern is why her platelets are getting low. She is taking heart and sugar medicines.

Hi, as you mentioned that your mother is on heart and sugar medications, so first of all you should get your medications checked by your treating doctor because low platelets can be one of the cause of drugs side effect. Also see if your mother is suffering from any viral diseases because it can also cause low platelets.
