My wife has been diagnosed with low platelete 6 months ago immeadiatley after 2 weeks from piles removal procedure in ayurvedic hospital. and she was treated with steroids 3 months with maximum dose of 60mg to mild 10mg.The platele count is started to increase from as low as 10000. Most of of the antibodies test for igg igm are normal except H.pylori infection. Then She was treated with 15days antibiotic course for h.pylori.After that platelete count increased to 220k.But now again a week before she was having sneezing runny nose and cold.platelete is dropped to 130k.She was given cetrizine dose for 2 days for cold.after a week her coucnt is read as 190k.
My concern is if this is not treatable permanently?.Any underlying infection causes this low platelette which is unnoticed by our doctors.our hematologist doctor says, come and check with me only if platelette goes less than 50k.

Hello,
take plenty of citrus fruits. Take nimbupani mosambi juice, orang ,kiwi, GOOSEBERRY.etc they are helpful to increase platelets.
steroid is not a solution. A patanjali product giloy ghan vatti two times a day after food for one month is safe nhelpful for platelet to increase. Alsee seed to chew after food for three times is also helpful.ok.
