I just did a comprehensive health checkup. Iron levels came out to be low but haemoglobin levels were normal.
Would this cause any problems? Are iron pills needed?

Low iron levels with normal hemoglobin, called latent iron deficiency, may not cause immediate problems but can lead to fatigue, cognitive issues, weakened immunity, or anemia if untreated. Common causes include poor diet, blood loss, or absorption issues. Increasing iron-rich foods like red meat, leafy greens, and fortified cereals, paired with vitamin C, can help. Supplements may be needed if symptoms like fatigue are present or ferritin is significantly low. Avoid inhibitors like tea or calcium with iron. Consult a doctor to address the root cause and monitor levels after 2-3 months of dietary changes or supplementation.
