Low hemoglobin and high ESR value
I'm 27 Yr old female. I'm single. My hemoglobin is 5.8 and my ESR 30mm per hr. I'm not sure what has to be done. Could you please provide suggestions

Hi, Your heamoglobin is very low and you should get admitted for blood transfusion. You may need 2 units of PRBC. A detailed history is required to evaluate the probable cause of anemia. You should also get it investigated, serum ferritin, vitamin B12, folic acid, retic count, complete blood count and peripheral smear, USG abdomen. Best wishes.
