Low ferritin and low HB level
Good morning sir, my uncle aged 73 is admitted since last 3 days in the  multispeciality hospital in Ahmedabad, He was admitted with low HB level ,5.1 gms%. Doctors advised for PCV transfusion.they introduced 2 units of PCV on day . On day to they have introduced one more unit of PCV.then his HB level was checked it shows 8.5 gms% , they told us for one more unit of PCV. before that his HB level was checked it shows 7.2 gms% , He was operated for prostate before 10 yrs ago . They have asked us for LFTs, it is done , they said there is swelling on liver. 4 th unit of PCV has given.and now they are referring my uncle for further investigation. My uncle has no other abnormalities.i am sending some of the reports of him . kindly guide me what to do next. And what are the reasons for such internal blood loss , what are the probabilities, regarding his health??
