Lost of smell

Dear DOCTOR, My mother has recently lost partially the smell as she went through a high body temperature (38 celcius) that lasted for 6 days as well as she received a cure of antibiotics. The lost of smell started happening step by step and the nose is as well blocked as we speak. We are very concerned she could lose the smell completely.What is that we ca do? Loss of sense of smell also called anosmia can occur because of various reasons such as after an viral illness, after nose infections, allergy, nasal polyps etc. Treatment depends on identifying cause for her problem. She needs to undergo diagnostic nasal endoscopy to confirm the diagnosis
