Loss of smell and cough

Hi One of my friend of my age ia suffering from mild cough and lost his sense of smell. I know this is a symptom of Covid. Samples were given and waiting for report. Can anyone suggest medicines until the report received? I thought that taking medicine will be helpful rather than waiting for report and may be things may get even worse.

start with multivitamins and vit c if no fever if fever develops then start covid medication for that please consider paid consultation
