Loss of memory
Hi, My mother came to visit us from the Philippines. She was well and healthy. After a month, she isolated herself. She just lays down. One day, just suddenly, she doesnt know how to use basic stuff at home like turning the faucet on, opening the door, finding the bathroom, turning the TV. She doesnt talk and has a blank stare. She seems like she’s in shock. She pees herself and doesnt wipe herself when she uses the bathroom. Showing signs of dementia but why it is so sudden. Advice me pls.

Sometimes there is an event like a stroke which manifests as behavioural and memory changes instead of physical symptoms. I would recommend your mother get a mri of the brain along with a mr angio of the brain. This will determine the exact nature of the problem.
Next Steps
Then depending on the reports she needs to be seem by both a neurologist and psychiatrist to manage both the cause of illness as well the behavioral outcome.
