Lorazepam 2mg
Male 26 70 kgs Mild anxiety Escitalopram 5mg since a few months And lorazepam 1mg sos I have been taking lorazepam 2mg (accidentally instead of 1mg) since 2 alternate days. Plan to stop now. Are there chances of addiction if I take lorazepam 1mg for just 5 days ?

If you take Lorazepam 2 mg for a long duration then can be Benzodiazepine dependence, so no addiction if you take accidentally 1 or 2 extra doses.

Drugs like lorazepam do have a potential to cause dependence.. but that is after 4-6 weeks of regular use. Short duration use is prescribed for temporary relief of anxiety and that is important in the initial phase. It is alright to take it for 5-10 days even regularly when you're starting escitalopram. There is nothing to worry about.

Hi.. it doesn't make much difference. Reduce to 1mg and then  gradually decrease it .

No, you don’t need to worry, it’s a low dose, don’t be apprehensive, but yes sudden stopping of drug can precipitate anxiety; but not necessarily in all cases. In most cases it’s easily stopped. So be assured nothing to worry.
