It’s a good thing to look young. Imagine when you’ll be 40 years, 50 years, and you will look just 30-35, so that’s a plus in the long run, so don’t worry about your looks as long as you have the knowledge appropriate for your age. That’s all that matters. Those were judging you based on how young you look, don’t care about them.

Looking younger than your age can actually be a blessing—many people wish for that! Try to see it as a compliment and focus on building your confidence through your skills, achievements, and personality. Dressing sharply and carrying yourself with confidence can also help others perceive you as more mature. The essence is to stop outer actions of people whether comments or compliment, If comments bother you, respond positively with something like, "Thanks, it runs in the family!"
Next Steps
I encourage you to schedule a session with me so we can explore this further and work on building your self-confidence together. In the meantime, here are some immediate steps you can take: Dress to Reflect Your Age sometimes and your looks sometimes (Best of both worlds): Opt for more formal or structured clothing styles, such as blazers, button-down shirts, or tailored outfits. These can help create a more mature and polished appearance at the professional front and wear what compliments the age you look like, something like a sweatshirt, denims, bright and young clothing on an outing or picnic at the times when you are out with friends.
Health Tips
Don’t dwell on comments or feel the need to explain yourself when people mention your youthful look. Instead, acknowledge it confidently and move on. Feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to help you build lasting confidence and self-esteem!

Hi, It's completely understandable to feel self-conscious about your appearance, especially when it leads to negative thoughts about your age. Remember, looking youthful can be an asset, reflecting good health and vitality. Instead of focusing on how others perceive you, try to embrace your uniqueness and the confidence that comes with it. Shift your perspective to view this youthful appearance as a positive trait that allows you to connect with a wider range of people and opportunities. Engage in activities that boost your self-esteem, such as pursuing hobbies, exercising, or practicing mindfulness. Surround yourself with supportive friends and seek positive affirmations to help reshape your thought patterns. Remember, confidence comes from within, and valuing yourself for more than just your looks can lead to a healthier self-image.

Feeling self-conscious about your appearance is common, but remember that looking young is often considered a positive trait. Here’s how to manage your concerns and build confidence: Shift Perspective: Embrace your youthful look as a unique feature. Focus on your strengths, talents, and achievements rather than your appearance. Practice Positive Affirmations: Counter negative thoughts with affirmations like, "I am confident in who I am." Engage in Activities You Enjoy: Participating in hobbies or interests can divert your focus and improve your mood. Mindfulness and Relaxation: Practices like deep breathing or meditation can reduce overthinking and help you stay grounded. Professional Support: Counseling can help you address self-esteem issues and develop strategies to overcome overthinking

Feeling self-conscious about looking younger than your age is more common than you might think. While it’s often considered a compliment, I understand that repeated comments can affect your self-esteem and lead to overthinking. Here are some ways to help: 1. Shift Perspective: Looking younger can be an asset in the long run. It might also reflect good health and vitality, which others may admire. 2. Focus on Confidence: Confidence comes from within, not from how others perceive you. Engage in activities or hobbies that make you feel good about yourself. 3. Acknowledge Your Qualities: List your strengths—skills, achievements, or qualities. Remind yourself that you are more than your appearance.
Next Steps
If you continue to feel overwhelmed, reaching out to a counselor can provide additional support. Remember, your worth is not defined by others’ opinions

Dear User, Thank you for sharing your concerns. It's important to acknowledge that looking younger than your age is often seen as a compliment, but I understand how repeated comments about it can impact your self-confidence and lead to overthinking. Let’s address this constructively. 1. Reframe the Perspective Looking youthful is not a flaw—it’s a natural trait, and many people would see it as an advantage. However, it’s your perception of the comments that’s causing distress. When someone says, “You look young,” try to reinterpret it positively rather than as a judgment. 2. Challenge Negative Thoughts The deep negative thoughts you're experiencing might stem from associating youthful looks with being undervalued or underestimated. Whenever these thoughts arise: Ask yourself: “Is this thought a fact, or is it my interpretation?” Replace it with a positive or neutral statement like, “My appearance doesn’t define my worth or capabilities.” 3. Boost Self-Confidence Confidence comes from within and from how you present yourself. Here are a few tips: Focus on Personal Grooming: A well-groomed appearance often shifts how others perceive us and how we perceive ourselves. Build Skills: Excel in areas of your life—professionally or personally—that demonstrate your capabilities. This will help shift the focus from how you look to what you can do. Body Language: Practice standing tall, maintaining eye contact, and speaking with a firm voice. 4. Tackle Overthinking Overthinking can amplify insecurities. Here are a few techniques: Journaling: Write down your thoughts to clear your mind. Mindfulness or Meditation: Practice being in the present moment, which can help break the loop of repetitive thoughts. 5. Seek Support If these concerns persist and deeply affect your self-esteem, talking to a therapist can be highly beneficial. Therapy can help you uncover and address the deeper beliefs contributing to your feelings. Remember, your worth isn’t tied to your appearance. Focus on what makes you unique and valuable as a person. You have so much more to offer to the world than just your looks. Take care, Abrar Raza

We need to discuss further, consult a psychologist. I am honestly confused here as when someone says young, it is considered a compliment. May if you wish to look older, you can do so by having a old fashioned haircut wearing dress old fashioned way and if you are on the leaner side, you can build some muscles by going to gym. I guess you can still look for many options as we speak further in Counselling session
Next Steps
Consult a psychologist for feelings of negative body image.

Adult or older people feel that looking younger is great, children feel looking younger is bad and looking older is better. Apart from that, know that you are not that kid who wants to look older and stronger. You are already big and strong, when you accept that you are old enough, looking younger feels good and people will feel jealous of you. If this thought process is difficult, consult a mental health professional to help you.
Next Steps
try to accept that you have grown up and not that kid anymore. if not book a consultation.
