What you’re describing feels frightening, and it makes sense that it’s disrupting your life. The rocking or swaying sensation, loss of appetite, and muscle aches are very commonly seen when anxiety stays high for too long. Your body is not “failing” it’s stuck in a constant alarm state.. When anxiety is prolonged, the nervous system stays over activated. This can create a false sense of movement (like being on a boat), body aches from constant muscle tension, and appetite shutdown because the body thinks it’s in danger. These symptoms feel physical because they are physical even though anxiety is the driver..
Next Steps
What helps right now (simple, practical steps): Slow breathing: inhale through the nose for 4 seconds, exhale through the mouth for 6 seconds, repeat for a few minutes. This tells the brain you’re safe. Gentle grounding: sit with your feet firmly on the floor, name 5 things you can see, 3 things you can feel in your body. Eat small, easy foods even if appetite is low (banana, soup, yogurt). Anxiety worsens on an empty system. Warm showers or heat on the shoulders and neck to release muscle tension. Reduce caffeine and screen time, especially in the evening. Hi, Your symptoms of anxiety, rocking or swaying sensations, loss of appetite, and muscle aches may indicate a significant stress response or an underlying physical or mental health issue. It’s important to seek prompt medical evaluation to rule out any medical causes and to discuss your symptoms with a mental health professional. They can help determine if your experience is related to anxiety, a neurological condition, or other factors, and develop an appropriate treatment plan to support your well-being and daily functioning.

Hellooo What you are experiencing—anxiety with a rocking or swaying sensation, loss of appetite, and muscle aches—is very commonly linked to heightened stress and nervous system imbalance. When the mind remains in constant alert mode, the body starts showing physical symptoms like dizziness, internal trembling, body pain, digestive disturbance, and fatigue. These sensations feel scary but are usually not dangerous. They happen because anxiety keeps your system overstimulated and exhausted, making it difficult for the body to relax and reset. With proper psychological support, this cycle can be reduced and reversed. Therapy helps in calming the nervous system, managing anxious thoughts, improving emotional regulation, and restoring physical comfort. You don’t have to live in constant discomfort—these symptoms are treatable with the right guidance and consistency. Take therapy. Hi I hear you are experiencing impulse to rock or sway as you are feeling anxious. It's a quite common somatic response, where your body is trying to calm down as a result of the tension arising in the body. However if you feel it's impacting your daily functioning, we could benefit to learn more adaptable ways to cope with anxiety. It's important to recognise the source and address the issues that  exacerbate it. Working in CBT modality is a good way to do that. CBT works on cognitions that may be contributing to create and keep the loop of anxious thinking. Reframing, restructuring and practice can lead to better functioning.

This seems to be GAD. It needs to be addressed asap otherwise it may get complicated. It can be well treated with counseling sessions and homeopathic medicine effectively and without any side effects. It needs to be addressed in a holistic approach for complete recovery. You need an expert Psychologist who is a good homeopathic physician.

From a CBT perspective, anxiety can amplify normal bodily sensations, making them feel persistent or alarming, which further increases fear and maintains the cycle. Therapy focuses on reducing symptom-focused attention, correcting catastrophic interpretations, and gradually retraining the nervous system to feel safe again. With structured CBT techniquethese symptoms are very much manageable and reversible. I would recommend starting therapy soon to prevent the symptoms from becoming chronic.

What you are describing -anxiety along with a constant rocking / swaying sensation, low appetite and body aches is very commonly seen when the nervous system is under prolonged stress. Many people experience this as a “floating / unsteady / rocking” feeling even when medical tests are normal. It does not mean you are weak, it usually means your body is stuck in a high-alert (fight–flight) state. Anxiety can create: internal dizziness or rocking sensation muscle tightness and aches reduced appetite difficulty concentrating feeling unsafe inside your own body The good news is this pattern is very treatable with CBT and nervous-system regulation work. Important caution: If your swaying sensation is accompanied by: true spinning vertigo, fainting, vision loss, severe headache, numbness or weakness in arms/legs, please seek medical help immediately.
Next Steps
1.Start CBT sessions with a trained therapist (CBT will help you work on: fear of the sensation health anxiety body scanning and catastrophic thinking) 2.Rule out physical causes once If you have not already, it is important to: consult a physician / ENT / neurologist once especially because you are feeling persistent swaying (this helps reduce fear and builds confidence in therapy) 3.Begin symptom tracking Note down for one week: when the rocking sensation increases what you were thinking at that moment what was happening around you 4. If anxiety is disturbing daily functioning, consider consulting a psychiatrist for short-term medical support (if required alongside therapy).
Health Tips
Try this simple grounding exercise (twice daily): Sit comfortably and gently press your feet into the floor. Slowly inhale for 4 seconds → exhale for 6 seconds (10 rounds). This directly calms the balance and threat system in the brain. Do not keep checking your body repeatedly (am I swaying? am I dizzy?). This keeps the anxiety loop active. Avoid excessive Google searches about dizziness or neurological illness. This increases symptom focus and panic. Gentle walking and light stretching help reset balance signals in the brain. Sleep, hydration and regular meals (even small portions) are very important right now.
