Long term Metformin Effects on Kidney
I am using 1500 mg Metformin everyday, recently started, but, I came to know about dangerous side effects to kidney, should I continue using it? These are my last Kidney Function Test Creatinine 0.97 mg/dL Uric Acid 6.5 mg/dL Sodium 138.2 mEq/L Potassium 4.5 mEq/L

Metformin can be given upto 2g when the kidney function is normal and u can tolerate it,if ur having gi side effects if ur gfr below 30 then it produces it's bad effects which is not the case for you
