Lipoma is a benign swelling .It's slow growing lump of fat just under the skin
Removal could be considered if it's presence is bothering you.
It's safe ,done in clinic setting ,unless it's size is considerably larger .

Lipoma is usually benign disease. But still need to investigate properly and if aesthetically unpleasing should be removed. Surgery safety depends upon the site of lipoma.
