Lipid profile
My husband is 40 years old . he had full body checkup 2 mnths back and his lipid profile was total cholestrol - 227 hdl- 40 ldl - 130.60 same from past 3 year triglycerides - 271 with complete lifestyle change and diet change he reduced almost 10 kg weight and done lipid again after 2 months. in current report total cholestrol - 201 hdl- 40 triglycerides - 180 vldl- 36 but ldl shows 159 dont you think there is error in report and its wrongly calculated ldl . Please guide accordingly. no family history of heart diseases.

Weight loss doesn’t mean a good lipid profile. If he has risk factors like diabetes hypertension or family history of heart disease then he should take medication for lipid profile. Otherwise keep continuing with active lifestyle and protein/fibre rich diet
