Lihht blood bear umbilical cord
My daughter is 10 days old and her umbilical cord still has not come out. She has slight blood in that area today but doesnt have any pain when we touch. Is this a cause of concern and also can she have normal bath in this situation?

Slight blood can be due to a little trauma... Do not worry...
Just see to it that there is no pus discharge .
Clean it with warm water and keep it dry

Is there a foul smell or any discharge from the region?? Just wipe the area with clean cotton cloth after soaking in little warm water. If it is gone, then don't worry.
Umbilical stump usually falls off by 7-14 days . It can also delay upto one month.
If bleeding, fever or pus discharge or boils are seen, it means there is infection, please show a doctor
