Lichen planus
Hii Everyone... My son is 4 years old and we visited to one of the doctor for his skin related disease.. Doctor told me that it is lichen planus and advised to use "Topisal-3%" on affected area.
I checked on google about this cream and it is written than it cant be use for below 12 years child.
I m confused if i should use this to my 4 year child as advised by doctor.

It depends on how big the lesion is. If the lesions occupy more than 20% of his body surface area, it is better to avoid it.
Salicylic acid is a component of the ointment and should be used carefully in children. It is contraindicated in children younger than 3 years.
