Lemon grass tea in pregnancy
Hello..i am a 17 weeks pregnant and had pcod earlier.my gynaecolagist advised me not to take sweet in pregnancy.should i avoid dry fruits also?!and i was drinking lemon grass tea with honey.should i avoid that also!?im drinking tetra packed milk and packaged curd. are they safe in pregnancy!

Hi, I would like to congratulate you first! Dry fruits like different nuts, raisin, dates you can have but in limited amounts, as they are good source of calorie, carbohydrates and saturated fat but they also have other nutrients like, almond, walnut are good source of protein and omega 3 fatty acids, dates, raisins are souce of iron. It will be better to drink  normal double toned milk and have home made curd, but packaged curd is fine. Honey is better than refined sugar, so yes you can have lemon grass tea  with honey once in a day. You should follow a balanced diet which meet the needs of all the nutrients, which is required during pregnancy.

Don't take unwanted stress or anxiety, which may    have negetive effect, so feel free and be happy.

Avoid sweets and sugary beverages instead of that you can take seasonal fruits and dry fruits also.Avoid processed foods.You can take fibre rich food.Always prefer for fresh milk and preferably home made curd.
