Leg pain slightly
My husband lower spine mri shows diffuse posterior bulge with small left foraminal  protrusion at L4 indenting the thecal sac,left traversing nerve root.is it a serious problem?he has a leg pain not much while walking.since last 5-6 years.what can be done?

He is having Sciatica pain due to Lumbar disc herniation at L4/5. Most patients do well on medicines and exercises but a few may need a simple injection in back. Of course surgery ia rarely advised and mostly is the last option.
