My mother is 55 years old and has a Cyst on Left Renal. She found it out only 3 days ago. The Findings was Bosniak I but 3,5 cm the size of cyst. I read that >3cm is like Bosniak IIF. Is it possible that it was a wrong findings or there are some other basis? My mother is experiencing back pain, her stomach is big, she has no appetit. And her doctor give her 1 month of medication to melt the cyst. I need some advice please! Thank you!

The cyst is bosniak type 1 only if there are no calcification and septation. So no need to worry. No medication would melt the cyst. It would have been given for some other reason. It only needs Annual ultrasound, nothing else and symptoms are not related to it
