ACL tear does not cause pain as there are no pain fibres in ur acl. however, all tear causes u knee to become unstable. herein, it will cause internal derangements to ur one, damage ur cartilage, and when ur cartilage is severely damaged, it will start becoming painful. Bad news is, when such pain starts, ur too late for surgery. ACL reconstruction os done to provide the lost stability and prevent any further damage to ur knee. Be Smart this time, get it operated!
