Left ear and throat pain for 7 months
I am suffering from left ear pain and throat pain since 7 months. I have been a smoker for 5 years, smoking 3-5 cigarettes a day. I have had 5 endoscopy, both flexible and rigid. As well as an upper gi endoscopy. My styloids are also elongated-. 4.4 cm on left and 4.8 cm on right side. All endoscopy and ultrasound of neck didn't show anything suspicious. The nasoendoscopy showed chronic sinusitis symptoms like Dns and turbinate hypertrophy along with enlarged bulla ethmoidalis. After 7 months and innumerable courses of anti biotics the pain still remains. I am also taking flutiflo as well as anti allegic along with ant acids. Can malignancy be ruled out by the endoscopy? Can chronic sinusitis on left side cause ear pain and throat pain on the same side? Can it be due to elongated styloids? Can sinusitis along with styloid cause that pain? What test should be done to find the cause of the problem?

The pain can be caused by enlarged styloid as well as all the other conditions mentioned ... Does the pain increase on swallowing food ? ... Is the pain very sharp and radiates to the ear ? Also ... endoscopy can diagnose a malignancy but sometimes tumors are hidden under soft tissue which may require palpation or MRI to investigate

I agree with your points. Elongated styloid process can cause throat pain and ear pain. But your styloids are more elongated on the right side. Sinusitis can also cause the same because it will cause post nasal drip and throat irritation and frequent clearing of throat. It will also cause ear pain because of negative pressure in ear caused by nose problem. I suggest you to continue FLUTIFLO. Antiallergic tablets can cause dryness on chronic use. That too can trigger your problem. So use SOLSPRE saline nasal spray three times a day for 1 month. Also you can reduce the styloid pain by taking Tablet ETOSHINE MR when there is pain.
