Asked for Female, 20 Years

Hi, I'm supposed to have my period at the start of each month but this month, it was really late. It has been 12 days since my supposed date and on the 13th day, which is today, there was a small patch of faint red blood on my liner. I left it be and when I checked it again 2 hours later, the blood was gone and there were light brown stains on the liner instead. Is that normal? I'm 20, unmarried, and never had any sexual activities at all.
