Late period concern
My wife has a history of regular menstrual cycles occurring approx every 28 days. Her last three menstrual periods were on 5 Nov 2025, 3 Dec 2025, and 31 Dec 2025. Based on this pattern, her next period was expected between 28 and 30 January 2026; however, her menstruation has not started till date. We are newly married and have been having regular unprotected sexual intercourse since 9 Jan 26, without the use of any contraceptive methods or barrier protection. She has not experienced her usual premenstrual symptoms, which she typically has in previous cycles. A urine pregnancy test conducted on 31 January 2026 was negative. As the symptoms persisted, a serum beta-hCG test was performed on 6 February 2026, which also returned negative. doctor has prescribed deviry tablet after 14 days can we take it now and why doc told to wait 14 days. and during this period is there any chance of pregnancy since we are having unprotected sex.
