Laser treatment pre requisite
I have to undergo a PDL for MC removal. Before that my doctor has suggested to remove my pubic hair. Can I use a hair removal cream like veet? I have done a patch test and it was fine.

Veet is not advised for intimate areas. Its safer and better to shave that area for the procedure.

Here is my recommendation You should avoid taking medications that can increase the risk of bleeding, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and blood thinners, for at least one week prior to the procedure. Shave the treatment area: You may be asked to shave the treatment area prior to the procedure to ensure that the laser can penetrate the skin effectively. Hair removal creams are not best options because they do in-fact affect the skin texture and structure temporarily and makes it sensitive Some dermatologists are ok with it Make sure there are no other skin conditions, such as eczema or psoriasis. And PDL therapy should not be performed on areas of the skin that are infected or inflamed. Hope this answers your questions Regards Dr H S Chauhan.
