Dear Sir
Please consult your psychiatrist if you have any concerns about the medication. I will advise that see a psychiatrist for a detailed evaluation and diagnosis. He seems to be suffering from manic episode but it needs an assessment. Please ask your psychiatrist to explain you about his illness in detail so that you are aware of what to expect. If the medicines are causing side effects, discuss this as well and ask about the options available like altering the dose, or changing medication or adding something to counter the side effects.
Please do not stop the medication without consulting your psychiatrist.
Feel free to contact me through practo for further help

Hello,
The above symptoms are suggestive of Mania. To treat mania mood stabilizer are required. Mood stabilizer keeps the mood at stable phase avoiding manic or depressive phase. Sleeping pills are not the treatment of choice for mania. The side effects are extra pyramidal side effects and can be controlled by medications.
