Hi,
First of all, exclusive breastfeeding improves a baby’s health, immunity, and IQ. So, it is best to give breast milk as much as possible.
Lactogen Pro 1 is a good formula, so there is no need to worry. A few months ago, an issue was reported in some European countries, but not in India.
Next Steps
so no need to worry
continue breastfeeding and top up formula
Hello
I can understand that you are worried about giving the formula milk to your baby
As a pediatrician i would not recommend you to give any formula to the baby unless situation mandates as mothers milk is the best for babies and it has been proven to be extremely beneficial in long run.
However since you have not mentioned the reason for giving the formula milk I'd like to tell you that any formula has its own pros and cons. The formula milk you have mentioned is a common brand many mothers give in India and as u said the issue with formula milk and created a havoc. But nestle had published an announcement that lactogen sold in India and their lot numbers didn't have any such issues. So u can safely continue giving the same if situation warrants you to continue formula milk.
I would still suggest you to try breastfeeding as it's the best for your baby.
Next Steps
try breastfeeding if there is no contraindications
Hello
I understand your concern
But nothing to worry about as such for now
Some issure occured in only few batches of nestle, that too not in india.
No such issue has been found in india yet
Next Steps
if you are too concerned then can switch to different brands, but not mandatorily

Hi
As per the guidelines breast feeding is recommended till 2 years of age but if in few cases where mother milk is not available then we can give formula milk as its supplement.. Likewise few days back we heard the news of nestle but that was not for india as our manufacturing is in india itself ..
so without any issue you can give formula milk to your baby
Next Steps
Always watchful for symptoms like loosestool , vomiting , fever .. if any do visit your pediatrician
Encourage Breastfeeding.Take adequate diet and Maintain good hydration for you so that milk supply will be better.Take opinion of Lactation Consultant for Medicine to boost breast milk supply.Still after efforts milk supply not fulfilled then give formula.Either Similac or Aptamill Gold can give of Stage 1 category till 6 months of age.If still need help then consult on Practo or nearby Pediatrician for more help
