It varies according to mothers prarkriti and response of the herbs. Generally lactation starts improving in weeks time. Shatavari can be continued for 3 months and even once stopped the results continue
Jivanti and Kambojhi can be taken together for a short, defined period to support breast-milk production, along with Shatavari.
Recommended duration
• Kambojhi: 4–6 weeks
• Jivanti: 6–8 weeks
• Shatavari: can be continued for 2–3 months if well tolerated
Kambojhi is usually stopped first once milk supply improves, while Jivanti and Shatavari can be continued longer for nourishment and Rasayana support. • Milk supply usually improves within 10–14 days if medicines suit the body and breastfeeding technique is proper.
• Ensure adequate hydration, frequent feeding, good latch, rest, and nutrition—medicines work best with these.
• If there is no improvement after 2–3 weeks, reassessment is advised (stress, anemia, hormonal factors, improper latch).
Next Steps
Kambojhi:
• 1 tablet twice daily after food with warm water or milk
• Jivanti:
• 1 tablet twice daily after food with warm water or milk
• Shatavari (churna or tablet):
• Churna: 3–5 g twice daily with warm milk
• Tablet: 1–2 tablets twice daily, after food
(Exact dose may vary based on formulation and individual digestion.)
Health Tips
When to stop or review
• If loose stools, acidity, or abdominal discomfort occur
• Once milk supply is adequate and baby is gaining weight well
Hi there.. these all medicines are given for increasing milk supply and for sustaining the flow . One can assess whether the flow is right or less depends on the baby’s requirement. Usually it is advisable to take upto 6 months regularly as babies depend on mother milk for 6 months exclusively. When baby start to have solids , their demand for breast milk automatically reduces. So , if milk is less and demand is more, you can continue it for some more months .
Caution is that if you should have good agni( digestion) .
We cant decide dosage randomly .. for that we need to have one on one consultation for proper history taking.
Thanks
You can use these medications to improve lactation for 4–6 weeks
(1–1.5 months)
Next Steps
or, you may use
Leptaden tablets
(which contain similar ingredients jeevanti & kambhoj):

Along with this, take
