My father is having a kneecap pain. whenever he folds his leg he experience a sudden pain but when he walks he is perfectly alright.

Hello... Pain in Knee Cape(patella) can be due to degenerative changes or can say weakness in bones (osteoarthritis). Chondromalacia patella is the condition which results from degeneration of cartilage due to poor alignment of the kneecap (patella) as it slides over the lower end of the thigh bone (femur). We need to visit an orthopedic doctor or a physiotherapist and get examined for the condition. Get X-ray done for the knee joint. Physiotherapy and exercises will give him the required result.

It's due to patellar tendinopathy....curable with physiotherapy sessions
