Calcium is to make bines stronger over a longer peroid of time. It will not work as a pain killer. Secondly, there are many types of calcium available, an experienced doctor can tell you which will suit your mother. I would suggest you take proper treatment by visiting nearest orthopaedic surgeon. Thanks.
