Considering your height you need to attain weight loss of atleast 30 kg.Running is not recomendable.better do brisk walking and upper and lower body exercises.better to avoid treadmill.if possible do walking on level ground and use proper shoes with proper fitting and cushioning also while walking.strict diet patterns should be followed.better

Running will not directly effect hour knees but chances of inee injury if you twist or fall. So i advice you to first start with brisk walking. Your fat loss depends on your calorie intake and calorie burnt. Hit the gym, do high intensity interval fat loss circuit training, treadmill.
Running would not affect your knees if done properly.
Also loosing weight includes proper dieting, resistance training along with li’ll cardio.
So workout wisely .
