I was playing badminton and during one shot when I placed my leg on the floor my knee got jerked and I could here some sound after which I fell and was unable to walk. I got admitted in emergency ward of fortis Gurgaon where they took my knee X-ray and told me there is no fracture however there could be muscle tear, ligament rupture or internal injury that they are not sure of as of now.

I think maximum chances are of ACL injury. But exact pathology can be known only in MRI!
Till you get MRI done go for icing for 7-8 minutes over knee tender area, atleast 5 times a day and use a one brace while activity.
