Kindly suggest course of action.
My mother who is 53 years old had an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury about 6 months ago. Our doctor was confident that the injury could be cured without a surgery, although he told that it would take more time. He suggested rest and later, physiotherapy. After 6 months, the progress has been very slow and we are contemplating on future course of action. We recently had a second MRI scan after 6 months to check the progress. I have attached the initial and current MRI scan report. Kindly suggest if we should opt for surgery or persist with physiotherapy along with medicine.

There is no point repeating MRI scans. If she has instability or pain, then you should opt for surgery. Arthroscopic ACL reconstruction surgery is a minimally invasive technique. Probably a day care procedure which will give her a stable and confident knee.
