This is for my father who is currently in India, he needs kidney transplant, he already found a donor and according to local doctor he is a match, but due to bureaucratic process it is taking very long for government to approve it. I was wondering if it is possible to do it in USA.

Yes kidney transplant can be done in the united states.
But I'm sure there must be a long list of people waiting for donors.
If you do get a donor in US, do get it done there itself.
