Kidney function Test
My mother 81 years old was admitted in hospital due to brain stroke for 10 days. Recently got her blood test done. Kidney function test are disturbing me. Kft report and medication prescription enclosed.
Please help and guide me.

Your mother's creatinine is elevated because she is dehydrated
It will recover with hydration
Also she is being prescribed a tablet called Dytor
It will make the kidney to produce more urine but will cause Dehydration and increase urea and creatinine
Also her sodium and Chloride are low, which means her body needs some Salt
Hope she doesn't have any swelling of legs or heart failure condition
Next Steps
Stop Dytor tablet
Increase Fluid intake to 1.5 to 2 litres per day
Increase Salt intake to 10 grams per day
Watch for appearance of swelling in legs
Monitor BP daily
Target Systolic BP 130 to 150
