Reasons ur chloride level are high
1) Dehydration - most common possibility (take adequate fluid)
2)high salt intake in diet
3)severe diarrhea/ or if u are on any meds( please mention if any)
Nothing to worry ur levels are mildly elevated
Drink addequate water
Thank you hope it helped you
You should not do anything if the Chloride level is disturbed in isolation. Chloride level alone can't be corrected. It will definitely disturb the Sodium level.
That's why I always ask my parents to ask for treatment of a disease, not of the Lab report.
it can happen sometimes and nothing to worry about that . even though chloride ion is an anion and take part in maintaining overall pH of our body and in blood by keeping check of the anion gap from acidosis and alkalosis . slight variations at times are seen which is needn't to be worried about .
Anion Gap = Na+ - (Cl- + HCO3-)
Next Steps
so just check blood pH , serum sodium , ad bicarbonates .
Health Tips
nothing as such , just make sure all parameter in relation to chloride levels are normal too . that it .
