Joint pain and swelling of feet

Asked for Male, 50 Years

My husband had fever 2 months back. fever got reduced in 3-4 days but severe pain in ankle joints remained . Swelling of feet and hands is there. Pain increases at night times. Not able to move around easily after sitting for some time.what could be the problem. Please suggest which doctor to be consulted.
