Jaundice after dengue
Hey,
My sister was admitted to hospital last week with platlets 11K. Now platlets has been increased to 177K.
Also SGOT is 837 and SGPT is 1212. Which is quite lest than yesterday's reading which was 1330 and 1560 respectively.
Now she is vomiting after whatever liquid she has.
Please suggest.

Hello. Very Good morning. I'm Dr.Yogesh Kr Sharma. Actually Dengue fever affects our liver badly and it will take some time for liver to function well and healing process is also going. Don't do this liver function test so frequently. For the Current health issue, I think she is most probably suffering from Acute Gastritis which means inflammation of the linings of the stomach, which needs treatment for atleast initially for 7 - 10 days.
