Hi doc
I am trying to conceive from last 2 years. Today is 6th day of my cycle. I called hospital on 2nd day and got to know that IUI treatment is not possible this month bcoz of covid 19. But today when i again called hospital, i get to know that fertility treatments are happening over there. I want to know will it be of any use to start taking medications for this month from tomorrow onwards. As today is 6th day of cycle. But usually medicines start from 2nd day. Is there any way that IUI will be possible this month??

there is no hurry in having a fertility treatment in this cycle do not start any medicines from basics it is better to start your medicines for a better success rate especially with iui
You can track your ovulation and try naturally this month. For an IUI, natural cycle monitoring can be done and around your ovulation you can do the IUI.
U r right , fertility guidelines in current situations has stated no new cycles in covid invironment.
However people who r on existing treatment shud continue their treatment
That’s y ur fertility centre must be on
As a whole the success rate of non-medicated IUI is much lower than when we use medicines. Moreover in PCOS, the chance of spontaneous follicular growth is less. It's better to postpone IUI. However, if you strongly feel to do IUI without medicines, you must do follicular study to find out the time of IUI.
Hi. Firstly as it’s already 6 th day so ovulation tablet s won’t be possible. Secondly yes due to covid 19 as per the guidelines it is advised not to do any fertility treatment else until very urgent.
